Crunchy Granola with Fruits and Walnuts
A rainy day is the perfect time to make a homemade granola so you will have on hand as a hot cereal topper, yogurt stir-in or delicious satisfying snack.
Crunchy Granola with Fruits and Walnuts
Makes 5 cups
Ingredients:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
3 cups whole grain oats
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Melt honey, brown sugar and butter together in a medium saucepan. Stir in oats, coconut, cranberries, raisins, and walnuts and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread into a 1-inch thick layer.
Bake for 45 minutes or until granola is golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool, then break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container.
